Lakeside’s Best Kept Gem! It’s in a very unsuspecting location in a tiny shopping center. But everything in it is perfection right down to the amazing food, consistently speedy and friendly service, specials/reasonable prices, and overall family atmosphere (or the small bar-scene sectioned off on the other side for dual pleasure). Margaritas are strong. The shrimp plate is a fan favorite. This is by far our favorite restaurant discovery since moving to Lakeside! Bonus points being able to support a family owned business with loyal and long-standing employees.

Fast service and comfortable atmosphere. Total time from being seated to getting our check was under an hour. Everyone ordered something completely different, and it was all out to us promptly. This is the perfect place to grab a very tasty lunch!

Iam amazed at how flavorable their shredded chicken tacos, (hard shell) and their shredded tostada are. Ask for stella beer great compliment to your meal!! The waitresses are friendly, and on the ball in their service. La Palapa is a small restaurant, but dynomite food and service. Stop in for lunch Sherry will greet you with a lovely smile and welcome. you'll feel like a family member stopping by for lunch. Great food, lovely service.
